I have a simple charcoal grill that I use fairly frequently. Usually I'm done grilling the main item in minutes, but the grill stays hot for long after. It seems like a big waste. What else can I throw on just to take advantage of the otherwise wasted cook time?
I usually throw some nuts on. Pecans and hazelnuts are pretty yummy as long as they don't get too hot. Sometimes I'll grab whatever fruit/veggies are in the kitchen that the wife can spare. Onions, corn, pineapple... whatever we have.
I can't really think of anything that didn't taste good.
Do you guys have any other suggestions? Not big recipes or complicated things, just stuff I can throw on extra.
