Total grilling/BBQ noob wants to start basic & learn. Weber Q1200 still good starter choice for an apt dweller?

Hey all you BBQ/Grilling aficionado who are enjoying our wonderful but freaking hot and wildfire smoke filled days in the USA that nobody can seem to escape from. Forgive me but I am a complete and utter noob to the BBQ/grilling world other then growing up with my dad who was the basic BBQ owner starting with briquits and after a few hours, got sick of waiting 5 hours to have dinner and went to propane to make burgers and dogs for the family mom throughout the decades. I however never really bothered to pick learning how to BBQ other then just enjoy eating over the decades, I just didn't care. Didn't help either my first apt forbid all BBQ's of any kind, even sattelite dishes were not allowed. Shit landlord, I know...

Now being in my late 30's and moving out of state bacheloring it in Seattle the last few years with just my cat, I'm trying to expand upon my food choices and eat healthier to get ready for my soon to be fiance from Japan to come live in America. I live in a real large apt complex and the last few years living here have been UTTER TORTURE with smelling random peoples delicious BBQ smells that wafts throughout the courtyard area and right into my place every single time. The few times i've been with family the joy and smell and taste of just simple marinated chicken and A1 sauce covered burgers just makes me long for it at my place, so I'm thinking of finally giving BBQing a go and not blow myself in the process. OCD tends to make you scared of propane tanks....

With possibly a fiance moving in with me in the next year and wanting more food choices and also to try out BBQing myself with real basics to start with, such as just doing burgers, dogs and chicken and trying out sauces, smoking cups and seasonings, I also am very limited to my space on my patio for a BBQ. Yes, propane BBQ's are permitted on my residence as most of the buildings are entirely made out of steel/aluminum, I've already checked with leasing office. As you can see, not a very big of a patio, only around 16 feet by 5 feet.

Being my OCD and computer engineer, I did my research the past few days on BBQ's on Googlefu and time and time again, the Weber Q 1200 kept coming up in a lot websites and peoples suggestions. https://www.weber.com/US/en/grills/gas-grills/q-series/51060001.html?cgid=2492#start=1

PLEASE, PLEASE keep in mind: I know a lot of you are utter die hard BBQ and grilling masters and probably have hundred or thousands of dollars in BBQing stuff with accessories to pimp it all out. I however, want to start small and basic and see if I even enjoy BBQing, so I don't want to dump a lot of money into something that I may or many not continue into the future depending on how things go. I also will not be moving a larger place anytime soon, let alone a house in near future because of living costs/insane real estate pricing in Seattle, so there is NO POINT in me spending more money on a slightly larger BBQ just to be more "future proof" I want something that I can easily fold up and store on patio when not in use but still be of good quality and decent cooking for learning how to BBQ my own burgers, dogs and chicken.

That all being said, is the Weber Q1200 still a good choice for me or would you recommend something else? I don't wanna spend more then $200 since this is a trial/learning new hobby/cooking thing, so forget suggesting me a $500 uber mid range BBQ, ain'g gonna happen. I do like that the Q1200 has a temp gauge so I don't have to "guess" temps as a BBQ noob and chance undercooking or charcoling my food and the foldable side tables and collapsable cart it stands on along with being able to upgrade to a 4 gallon propane tank does give me some "future proofing"

Thanks for reading/listening and give me some good starter points for a total new guy to urban BBQing/grilling
