I'm on the fence between getting a Weber Genesis II E-310 or the E-410. I'd prefer the SE version, but they are not carried by the store where I will be redeeming a store gift card.
I won't be grilling much at one time so the available grill space is not an issue. This will be my first gas grill and I will be using it mostly for steaks at high heat for long enough to get an outside sear and medium rare finish.
The biggest concern that I have with the E-310 is the amount of time that it may take to get to max temp and whether the max temp is enough for a good sear. However, both models appear to have very similar BTU per square inch.
Will the E-410 be a better option for these needs because of the extra burner? If neither the E310 or E410 Genesis II are good options for grilling steaks, I'm open to suggestions. I've grilled plenty with charcoal, but want to try gas because of time constraints.
