Tri-tip sirloin. I baked her, then finished her off on the grill. Thanks for the help u/Picklesadog

I have never eaten or cooked tri tip before, but I heard they're the tits and my local Costco started carrying them so I snagged one up. 3.16 lbs, cost about 16 bucks. It was pre marinated which is not my thing (I'm a salt n peppa man) but I went for it.I want to thank u/Picklesadog for sharing his process with me. I literally had no idea what to do.Long story short, I let it rest to room temp, baked in oven at 170 degrees and checked it after 1 hour. Thermometer read 160 (I think it's fucked up) so I pulled it. Let the grill get to 550 and threw the bastard on. Flames everywhere. I think it freaked me out because my sear looked good but I think i should have gone longer. Anyway, tastes awesome. Thank you to all you guys on here who post delicious stories. You're the reason I get hungry at work at 3pm. Here's my meat:https://ift.tt/2Gbzba0 via /r/steak https://ift.tt/2pK4Lk5
